Welcome to DPL Insurance, underwriters and distributors of both life and general insurance products to the New Zealand consumer market.

DPL Insurance Limited was founded in 1971 with the purpose of providing and administering innovative superannuation, insurance and other financial products for New Zealand personal and employee group customers.

Initially trading under the name of New Zealand Pension Plans and then as Save & Invest when SAI Life Management Limited was acquired. We became Dorchester Life Limited in 2006 when we consolidated the insurance entities.

In 2012 we became DPL Insurance Limited and now trade through two customer-facing brands:

  • Autosure a leading provider of automotive-owner protection policies for the NZ retail motor vehicle industry
  • Greenwich Life provides easy to transact, guaranteed acceptance life insurance products distributed through intermediated insurance providers

We are also the underwriters for a number of well known other brands’ insurance policies and have in the past underwritten policies for some previous brands.
